I am now age 65 years young. I am an incest survivor who repressed everything until my own children were in danger (but another way). I was in my early 40s. Shortly after remembering, I had yet another whiplash automobile accident. This time my neck was turned a sharp left as I was waiting to turn left. My neck never healed (under a lot of stress for all sorts of reasons) and then my health tanked. I developed Fibromyalgia six months later; was diagnosed with OA all over; Myofascial Pain; Hypothyroidism (later Hashimoto’s Autoimmune and Celiac Sprue as well. I continued to home school our four daughters and glad I did at least have a life. My trouble has been the ability to hold a job or even volunteering as my health issues cause daily pain and daily lack of energy. I have about 8 good hours of productivity which is used for chores and using the bits of help in my toolbox to take care of my personal needs. I am in an online wonderful support group. I’ve always been a resourceful person so I have sought help (people and many books). I’ve come around the bend and seen more light time and time again. I have peeled the onion eagerly no matter the pain. My issues are that the current stressors (money issues; impending major downsizing and increased C-PTSD woes) are making my life feel out-of-control. I have found that the above has been helpful. There is much that cannot be resolved as I have tried.
