Your greatest sense of stability and security is achieved when you feel resourceful within.
First, I would like to thank those of you who reached out in the past week to connect with me and let me know how they you’ve been doing these past several weeks. It brings me peace knowing that while we are all being challenged right now, you continue to be resilient. The changes that we are having to work through can be difficult, but with this, I want to remind you
Change is the constant.
There are multiple narratives that are taking place right now, with many trying to make sense of the virus’ origins, and the implications of living with this virus in our midst. Some states and countries have outlined varying degrees of precautions, with regards to reopening the economy. This can be very confusing.
As this pandemic has continued, I am sure that you have felt that the security you had felt before all of this feels fleeting. And it’s true . . . virtually anything in your life can change in a matter of seconds.
Consider then, what can you do to trust and rely on what is inside, as opposed to outside of you?
Like most people right now, you are trying to seek stability in your life. It is okay to be unsure, and it is okay to not know. The future will always have a semblance of uncertainty, a future we are unable to predict and control. And as you move through the challenges this pandemic has presented you, hopefully you’ll find that creating a consistent routine can help you feel safer and more secure in the world.
Turning to internal and external resources, like personal talents and attributes, and connecting with family and friends, will help establish a greater sense of stability and control. Having stability and predictability in your life is great, and is certainly a preferred way to live. Your greatest sense of stability and security is achieved when you feel resourceful within.
I would like to encourage you to be emotionally flexible during this time. Change is the constant, and it is important to stay emotionally adaptive in the face of all this change.
Thinking of you, and wishing you well.
